Begathon Fall 2021 video

My first radio video! The Fall Begathon theme is WMPG Faces/Unmasked, and the Development director asked me to participate. Writing the script was easy, but recording a video in one take was a challenge. Because I'm used to being able to edit out mistakes, or dogs barking, or strange dehumidifier noises.

And here is the updated version of my show promo. I replaced Jonathan Richman's "hello" with Sybil Fawlty's.

The Parents Music Resource Center was so much more than Tipper Gore being offended by Prince. But it's a good place to start.

The first time either of us had been on the air at midnight on New Year's Eve! We were on the air for over nine hours. It was amazing. Also, the title of the show was prompted by my inexplicable fascination with an international pop hit from 1972.

My first guest appearance after ending POWERHAUS. This was the first promo Ron and I produced with me recording vocals in Springfield and Ron in the production studio at WMPG in Portland.

So I moved to Springfield and driving to Portland once a week for the show was too much. I made two versions of the promo, one for prime time and one for overnight. The difference is in the intro to "Kick Out the Jams."

Finally! My show was official!

Before the official launch of POWERHAUS, I was so excited to fill in for an entire summer!

One of my favorite collaborations with Ron Raymond, Jr. The summer of 1984 was significant to both of us, for different reasons, and it made for excellent radio.

My first promo! This was my first solo theme show, five years after I started at WMPG.

College! This is the promo for my tribute to four years of dancing at Smith, in dining rooms with the furniture pushed against the wall, the smell of cloves & Aquanet, and keg after keg after keg of Tuborg Gold. Good times.
